NEW ENGLAND'S PREMIER SUMMER RACE

Scenic, flat, wheel-measured 3.16 mile USATF certified loop course (MA04018RN).

RACE DETAILS:
•    Well-marked and -lit loop course with minimal traffic (course entirely paved—sidewalks, paths, access road—except for 35-yard section of dirt path)
•    Aid station with food, water, electrolyte drinks every 3.16 miles
•    Water stations located every 1.5 miles (approx)
•    Convenient hotel accommodation at race start
•    Technical T-shirts available for $15.00
•    Prizes to the top 3 finishers, male and female. Prize to top relay team. Awards to all finishers
•    Marathon is a Boston qualifier.

ACCOMMODATION:

Lord Wakefield Hotel is the host hotel for the 24 Hour race.
595 North Avenue, Wakefield, MA 01880, 781.245.6100. Book early; hotel sells out by quickly. Hotel is located directly on the race course. When booking ask for race rate. Swimming pool is available for use by hotel guests. Shower required prior to using the pool.

RACE RULES:
•    RELAY TEAMS — 6-8 members per team. Mixed teams must have minimum of 3 female runners. All relay teams must submit a complete list of runners at least one week prior to the event. All runners must sign race agreement. Runner substitutions are allowed until 60 minutes before start time. The replacement runners must sign the race agreement. Check srr.org closer to race date for more detailed relay rules re. timing chip use.
•    RELAY/ULTRA SCORING — A complete lap must be completed to be recorded in the results.
•    RELAY EXCHANGE—A relay team member may run one or more complete laps in any order. The relay exchange point is the only location on the course where a runner change can be made.
•    TENTS — Absolutely no tents are allowed on the lawn next to the hotel. A canopy tent will be supplied by the race organizers to provide shelter for the runners.
•    ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION — Due to liquor license requirements, only alcohol purchased from the hotel may be consumed in the area outside the hotel. Alcoholic beverages are sold at the hotel pub from 11AM to 12:30 AM. BYOB may be consumed in guest rooms only.
•    RUNNER SAFETY — Whenever possible, run on the sidewalk. Wear a reflective vest at night. We recommend that each team has a bicycle escort to accompany runners at night.


NUMBER PICK UP:

•    4:00 – 6:30 pm on race day Friday, July 24 at Lord Wakefield Hotel, 595 Nth Ave., Wakefield, MA 01880. Leave yourself plenty of time for traveling. Friday traffic is heavy.

DIRECTIONS TO REGISTRATION AND RACE START:

•    Take Exit 39 off Interstate 95 (otherwise known as Route 128). From exit ramp go toward Wakefield. Lord Wakefield Hotel is about ¼ mile on the left at the rear of the Lakeside Office Park. Further directions to hotel here and google map here.
