Courses: 9 miler is mostly rolling hills on both single and doubletrack with a lung burner to the Summit of West Rock.  5 km is flat to rolling hills on both single and double track.  Both events are off road with very little pavement. 

Police Team Challenge is open to Police PERSONNEL only.  The five person team may compete in either the 9 mile or the 5 km event.  Top three times are combined for the results.  Multiple teams from each department are allowed.  Police personnel are also competing for overall prizes.

Special award: "King of the Rock" and "Queen of the Rock"-1st male and female to reach the Summit of West Rock.

Massage: Available pre and post race at Lake Wintergreen parking lot.

Awards and post race celebration: Runners are invited to a post-race celebration with food and beverages at the  Lake Wintergreen parking lot.

WRC T Shirt: First 100 entries by August 4, 2010 will receive a free WRC T Shirt.  Please make sure we have you size.

Parking & Registration: Wintergreen Magnet School, 670 Wintergreen Ave, Hamden, CT 06514.  Located 1/4 mile from Lake Wintergreen. 

Directions: I-91 North or South

I-91 to Exit 10(the connector).  Take 1st exit off connector to stop sign.  Left onto Hartford Turnpike at stop sign.  First right onto Dixwell Ave.  Stay on Dixwell Ave to Benham ST. (3rd right past Hamden High School).  Stay on Benham ST all the way to Main St.  Take left onto Main ST.  Pass entrance to Lake Wintergreen on your right as you bear left.  Continue to stop sign taking right onto Wintergreen Ave.  Wintergreen Magnet School for parking and registration will be on left.  It is a 1/4 mile walk/run back to park entrance.

From New Haven: Dixwell Ave to Benham St.  Take a left onto Benham St.  Follow above directions once on Benham.
